I Have A Dream...

We all have dreams...some dream of Freedom and Equality, others dream of becoming famous and then there are those that simply dream of a having shoe that fits! We've all been there ladies, but for some of us this task is even more difficult. Generally, most shoes are made within size ranges of 6-10, maybe 11 but for you Amazons that have a larger sized foot, going into your local boutique or department store to find a cute pair of shoes may not prove to be so easy.

Luckily for you, I'm here! Dream Shoes...shoes of your dreams up to a size 16, offers a variety of styles from comfort shoes to the hottest stiletto heeled boots. Now there will be no excuse for you to not have a shoe to match that new hot dress you bought. Take a look at my 2 favorite picks...

Samanta KT $175
This pony hair, leopard print Mary-Jane shoe is adorned with Swarovski crystals in the buckle to give it that added feel of luxury. Don't be afraid to wear this shoe during the day with a pantsuit or add them to an evening ensemble to give it that extra flair! This shoe is available in sizes 11-13.

Stiletto Boot $125
Now, even though my shoes vary between a size 7-8, my biggest problem is finding boots to fit my shapely calfs...I wouldn't dare describe them in any other way! These stiletto boots are most chic and should be a staple in every woman's closet. These are 5 inch heels ladies, so if you're already long in the pants, these boots will have you towering over most of crowd, but no worries, you'll be looking Fab! 18" shaft circumference, with elastic as well, should secure a great fit and they are available in sizes 15-16 only! Quantities are low, so get on it if you want it!!!

As to not disrespect the real "Dream" we should all be honoring today, below I have selected a video to honor the late, great Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Enjoy...this video makes me miss the great musicians of the 80's!

Need I say more??? Well actually, yes. The Notorious B.I.G, also known as the elusive and iconic MC from Brooklyn, has earned his shine on The Shoenista's blog today. And no, it's not only because the movie chronicling his life, Notorious, is debuting in theatres today (which you should totally check out...pretty sweet), but because Biggie Small's has made his own contribution to shoe trend fashion.

Clark's, the English shoe company, famous for their classic variety of suede and leather comfort sport shoes has played a major part in the hip-hop genre. In the 90's MC's, particularly Biggie Smalls, boasted about their Clark's, but only one style in particular, the Wallabee.

Clarks Wallabee $115

Why the Wallabee? Who knows? Maybe because dress codes for clubs banned sneakers and the Wallabee was a comfortable as a sneaker, but not as stiff as a dress shoe, or maybe because they upgraded your style but still maintained a bit of "street" to them. I fondly remember Wallabee's and all sorts of Clark's gracing the feet of many Yardies (Jamaicans), especially the Rastas. They were like cool breeze! LOL. Maybe Biggie felt the same way...

In any case, they are making a sweet little comeback, but not only on the feet of men, but on the us ladies too! These booties are versatile and comfortable and even warm. Don't be afraid to pair them with your jeans, bootcut or skinny, your leggings or even a cute little skirt and some textured tights. I still have a pair in storage, aka my parents house, that I may have to round up! I'm all excited already! Get your pair and make sure your wear them when you go check out the movie...you'll be paying homage to one of hip-hop's greatest!

I Welcome ME Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies...it sure has been a while! Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hannukah, and of course, Happy New Year! I've missed it all, but bitches, I'm back! Please don't even pretend like you didn't miss me!

So, I'm not sure about the rest of you fellow Shoenista's, but I for one HATE the cold and most definitely the snow. Here in NYC, global warming must be on hiatus because the cold and snow are sure in high gear! How can you feel sexy and step lively in gross winter boots or dare I say it...UGGS??? YUCK! But no fear, some designers have felt our pain and have given us some sexy, stylish, even sporty options. God bless their "soles"!

adidas by Stella MCCartney $244
Old Man Winter might have to do a double take when he sees you in these! They are sporty, but insanely cute! They have a rubber sole so that you won't have to do the James Brown down the street (which I loooove to watch) and they are waterproof...not only chic but functional. I say you give these babies a whirl!

Pedro Garcia $595
Ok, so totally forget what I said about the James Brown...these are mean! Heel or no heel, this is what an all weather boot should look like! I love that they are quilted to provide warmth (yeah right), and the heel and toe are covered in suede! So, maybe you should opt for the stinky cab ride as opposed to braving the uncleaned sidewalk...I totally would! With some leggings or your fav skinny jeans and a great oversized sweater...I'd make plans for afterwork drinks! ;)

Mukluks $850
The infamous luxury winter boot! These boots are not for the faint of heart nor the weak in $$...these are serious head turners. I've always held these near and dear to my heart. I've envisioned myself donning these puppies on ski weekends with Mr. Puff Daddy himself...I kid, I kid but seriously what else would you wear to impress such a well dressed man? Possibly nothing, which is also not a bad idea! ;)

So there you have it ladies, I have given you a few options to choose from albeit not all truly functional. But, now you know that you can still be chic and warm without having to be a winter fashion faux-pas.

I've so missed corresponding with you fellow shoe whores and hearing your comments. I promise that my hiatus is over and I'll be here to tantalize you with even more delectable shoe treats...that's all for now...

XOXO
