Forever 21...

And no, I'm not talking about myself although being 21 again wouldn't be so harsh! I am actually referring to the ever popular, trend knock-off specialists of the retailer, Forever 21. They are seriously like the Bergdorf Goodman of the junior-esque knock-off set! Charlotte Russe, Rainbow and DEB eat your heart out!

Now, please don't get me wrong, I appreciate what they do. This retailer is dedicated to a much younger demographic who craves to be as chic as their slightly older counterparts and love to shop, but with less disposable income. Therefore, Forever 21 caters to their needs by providing the hottest trends of the season at seriously rock-bottom prices. Although you will be sacrificing quality while saving a shit-load of cash, is it really that serious when these trends just breeze through for the season? I believe it is safe to say, probably not. And I believe it's also safe to say that their consumer base is way over 21...works for me!

In saying that, I give you this, the CZ-3 Patent Peeptoe, probably the best Chloe replica ever for a mere $27.80!

Here is the real Chloe runway sandal originally $645, and now on sale for $387 at Intermix.

Honestly, I'm not so upset with Forever 21. From the picture, the carbon copy isn't too shabby. What do you think?

Imitation...

is the best form of flattery! Or, so they say. Is it just a lack of personal creativeness and uniqueness, or is it truly a compliment to the Mastermind?? Steve Madden has obviously chosen the latter and to pour salt in the wounds of these High-End Designers that he clones, he is laughing all the way to the bank.

I'm assuming his philosophy lies somewhere in the realm of "Why spend hundreds of dollars when you can have the carbon-copy for a fraction less?" As I stare in my wallet, I totally pump my fists, but being The Shoenista, my feet know better. It just really is not the same.

Should you sacrifice quality or is it truly about Brand loyalty? You be the judge.
