No Meat on My Feet!

Along with everyone going "Green", lots of people are also steering clear of all animal products. Not I, of course...have you ever had the skirt steak at Habana? Yeah!!!

But getting back to the point at hand, vegans are hard core animal supporters and it does not only come down to what they put into their bodies, but what they put on their bodies as well.

Now we've all seen the shoes those PETA people wear...they definitely go under the Yuck Shoes file! But because vegans are now younger, hipper and sassier they are craving style within their lifestyle as well.

Natalie Portman, a vegan, has created a collection of shoes with a NY based shoe Boutique, Te Casan. She has incorporated style, trendiness as well as wearability. The shoes are produced in limited quantities- only 100 per size/per style, and they are blowing out!

Cri de Coeur, which translates to "crying of the heart", designed by Gina Ferraraccio, was also inspired by the lack of high-end footwear within the vegan lifestyle. With the issues of animal-cruelty and fashion being close to her heart, she felt compelled to combine to two and Cri de Coeur was born. For every shoe sold, a tree is planted. It's a win-win situation.
