One word... POR QUE?!?!
Ok it's 2 words in Spanish, but it still screams for an answer. Yuck boots are the absolute worst creations EVER! I'd seriously consider wearing those orthopedic Croc things before desecrating my feet by donning boots that literally make your feet look like bread loaves...YUCK!
My little tirade isn't totally dedicated to the YUCK's, but to those wearing any form of a boot in the SUMMER!! All winter long we cannot wait for the first sign of Spring to pull out those old favorite sandals or an excuse to buy new ones, so why are we neglecting the cries of our toes to be free? Jesus-Cristo...let them loose! Spring/Summer is seriously only 10 days long. Let's revel and bask in the freedom of sandals.
I get the whole, I'm f-ing cool and way hipster with it, but do realize that when you roll up to your fav boy-toys flat and peel off those "funky" boots, that's exactly what he'll smell too...FUNK! Eww!
Don't worry honey, winter is coming back sooner than you think, and the shoe selection is looking absolutely delish. But in the meantime, enjoy the hot summer while you can! Take your toes out sunning.

I actually said this to a girlfriend of mine as we walked down madison avenue in the 90 degree weather. Its like wearing ear muffs and sandals...It makes no sense! Thank you for this write!! "Fashion" can also be "Foolish"!
I have seen a "bamma" or two wearing boots in the heat. I understand times arehard and some may not be able to afford cute sandalsyet..however there are some cute $8 flip flops out there....sacrifice lunch one day why don'cha!
